چکیده
Eucommia ulmoides Oliv., the only member of family Eucommiaceae, is endemic to China and has great development utilization prospects. The seeds E. show dormancy but underlying mechanism remains unknown. aim this study was determine cause seed provide fundamental knowledge for breeding, genetic improvement, conservation germplasm resources species. According classification system developed by Jerry M. Baskin Carol C. Baskin, we compared germination percentage between intact isolated embryos, constructed water absorption curves, evaluated treated with scarification, cold/warm-moist stratification, after-ripening during dry storage, gibberellic acid (GA3). results showed that germinated at 10 °C a low 13.3% whereas embryos had high normal among wider range temperatures. from scarified seeds, half coat significantly restricted embryo absorption. after-ripening, GA3 treatments promoted germination. Among them, cold-moist stratification most effective method temperature increased in both directions prolonged stratification. constant temperatures highest 93.7 ± 0.3% light/dark cycle after 90 days Therefore, freshly harvested exhibited combinational comprising physical Type 3 non-deep physiological dormancy, causing limited growth potential. Given unique phylogenetic characteristics utility ulmoides, our findings should promote studies evolution application resources.

Ecology of seed dormancy and germination of Carex divisa Huds.: Effects of stratification, temperature and salinity
Carex divisa is a patrimonial rhizomatous species and acts as an important component of grazed wet permanent grassland on the French Atlantic coast. This study treated three storage regimes (wet-cold, dry-cold and dry-warm), burial in soil, fluctuating temperature and salinity on seed germination of C. divisa. The seeds were dormant at maturity. No seed germinated after 2 and 6 weeks of dry sto...
